Concussions are serious business for long-term effects, especially if you get them repeatedly, but judging from my friend who was in wrasslin school's many, many concussions if it doesn't kill him soon I don't think it will.
Yeah, at this point they would probably just give him some pain meds and tell him to rest a few days since there isn't a whole lot else they can do about it.

I think people may be panicking a bit too much. If Jace was going to die it would have probably happened by now. The most Brianna Wu will get out of this is some attention whoring and a restraining order. Jace's biggest problem is whether his mother presses charges over the car.

I have a feeling that this event will Jace turn from an internet lolcow into scapegoat for those critics who want to blame misogamy, violence, and immorality in video games. They can easily use Jace and this event to further their agendas and careers while sweeping the fact that Jace has mental issues and a drug problem under the rug.

Brianna Wu is trying to make it sound like Jace is legitimately dangerous. This is going to reinforce Jace's delusions and Brianna's ego at the same time. That's what happens in a battle of lolcow vs. lolcow: they both lose, but they both think they've won.
It's kinda like the opposite of alien vs predator, no matter who loses, we win.

While concussions on their own won't kill him, Jace still has to worry about bleeding on the brain or between the lining of the brain and the skull. With this kind of injury a person can seem fine at first but, depending on the type of bleed, can deteriorate in a matter of hours or days and eventually lead to death. Dizziness and disorientation are common symptoms of these types of injuries. This is how Natasha Richardson died.

It'd probably be trivial for her to get one too. Jace would probably not even appear.

But this is Wu we're talking about. She's going to be doing the math: What will allow her to continue milking this cow periodically down the line?

Getting the restraining order means Jace might get scared and stop threatening her. This means less attention and fewer new people giving her Patreon gold.

But if she does get the restraining order, if Jace keeps trying to threaten her periodically, Jace can get arrested, and she can blast it on Twitter as a "victory over GamerGate". I can see her Patreon becoming engorged already.

I think Jace will come out of this worse. I don't know Jace that well but he looks like is an easy target for the vultures. Wu is a special type of crazy, a social engineer with few ethical boundaries. From the surface it can be easy to sympathize with her and to be fair some of the tweets she has received are shocking, at least to the uninitiated to the internet. I will acknowledge there are people out there unhinged enough to target people in real life. Unfortunately, Jace chose to go after Wu in real life. To those who are not aware that he is a delusional idiot, this looks really bad. It doesn't help that gamergate has been successfully slandered in the media, I second those who said that Jace looks like the perfect poster boy of the stereotypical gamergater.

With his lose grasp on reality he is easy picking for any social engineer to manipulate into acting against his own best interest. It is a matter of knowing the right buttons to push on people. However, Wu is more interested in manipulating the press and her own party over Jace, but I don't doubt that she will try to provoke him into doing something else really stupid and Jace will chose to engage.

Can't wait to read another article about SJWs being threatened by "gamers". Maybe the writer will catch on to the fact that Jace isn't mentally stable and decide not to exploit a paranoid schizophrenic. That would be the ethical thing to do.

Oh wait...

PS that was a joke and not an endorsement of GG.
Obviously the article will be biased and sensationalized, but that shouldn't be a surprise to anybody in 2015. I'm drinking top shelf gamer fuel right now to pay my respects to the Commander. The blatantly feminized media will portray him as an enemy, but the Deagle Nation will only grow stronger.

I just hope the endgame involves Jace getting some kind of legitimate psychological treatment. #optimistic

I would hope that instead of prison where he will likely eventually end up Jace would be court ordered to attend inpatient psychiatric treatment at a facility. Schizophrenia is an awful and debilitating problem with the brain but with actual counseling and medication instead of videogames and weed Jace could have a much better life.

This was the most inane idiotic thing you could possibly do in a public manner. You have forever linked yourself with a teenage minded warlord. Did Chris Caesar even give you the right of final say in the article? Because if he didn't, he just wanted to mangle your quotes to push a narrative . That you are probably not going to like or support. Don't you think it's strange that 5 minutes after telling Brianna something a journalist comes to you. One who has wrote repeatedly about Wu being a victim of some parochially type conspiracy the size of antartica. http://www.boston.com/news/local/ma...d-from-home/FjC4cjeqwEDxWFeeVpyWSP/story.html They already have a pre existing relationship and if she was able to get him to come to you within 5-10 minutes. She probably has his fast speed contact info and not just the info he gives out on his business cards during a convention.

In a more easily relatable analogy. Say your hypothetical grandma lives in a group home. Now, you come visit your grandma and you notice that little shit, Timmy there. He also has a grandma over at the same group home but Timmy doesn't go for the smell of disinfectants. He goes because he loves to snoop on other people talking to there grandparents. Now, you went to your grandma and she asked for her financial information. Instead of writing it down and just giving her a piece of paper. You pulled out that annoying air-horn that rappers use on their mixtape and yell her financial information out. Timmy heard this and decided to talk to you about granny. He manages to get out from you her favorite color, hometown, other miscellaneous information. You thought that Timmy just wanted to talk about your old lady. You didn't realize that Timmy has gotten enough info to perform financial fraud on your Grandma.

Now, I'm being a little harsh on Chris Caesar but you can see my reasoning. Replace financial information with pushing a narrative that can get views and pity points from the media. He has full power to make any line you say in to a quote of his choosing. He is the movie director of your public fate. Willing to use anything you said in the interview to further his own cause. He is like a movie director who can make any happy scene to a sad scene by replacing the cinematic music.

Considering how many people take a glance at all this Deagle Nation stuff and dismiss it as "obviously" being some sort of prank/performance art, I would think a journalist would get two sentences in to writing about Tupac in Israel before scrapping the whole thing.

Or they'd watch some of the Eli videos in Tel Aviv, and conclude that Jace's delusions aren't as delusional as first glance, and conclude that maybe, just maybe he IS dangerous.

The problem is, everyone keeps yes-men'ing Jace, and he thinks he's invincible.

Nothing good is going to come from this.

Journalists do not do this. Ever. This makes it hard to take your other thoughts on journalism seriously

You don't think journalists do it for vested money interests and personal friends? Have you ever written an article for money? That shit is rampant in journalism. They don't like to talk about it, since they would have to extend the same privileges to the guy they want to quote slander. 9 out of 10 that first Brianna Wu article had Wu approving all of her quotes on that article.

I don't know, but I'm guessing Null wouldn't expect anything less. The writer most likely did very minimal background research on Jace and was going to exaggerate a story about toxic masculinity and misogyny in gaming, regardless. But it's easy for a person to sensationalize something he doesn't know about, and there is a difference between speculation and lies. SJWs don't care about interviews from a reliable source, but it's good to know the facts have been heard because now he has to lie about them instead of speculating. He wants to tell a story about the leader of a misogynistic hate group, not about somebody literally suffering from mental problems. Maybe this will reduce Jace's involvement with GG into a footnote instead of a paragraph. Maybe he'll forget the article completely and write about a website that encourages people to bully autistic kids. At least that's not just more gamergate shit.

It wasn't under the guise of an interview, nor was it under the guise of writing an article. He was just investigating.

I don't give a shit what they say about GamerGate. If that somehow makes me a target, I think that'd only prove their point. All I did was tell the truth.
