iCarly Fans & Dan Schneider Fans -

iCarly is a kids comedy show starring Miranda Cosgrove and Jennette McCurdy. And in case you haven't noticed, it has a large online fanbase consisting of really creepy dudes obsessed with the lesbian overtones between Cosgrove and McCurdy's relationship on the show. The large and creepy page on TV Tropes alone documenting said fans obsession with two underage girls who may or may not munch more carpet than a broken roomba will -- if read in full -- make the sane folks of the world wanna scrub their body with steel wool to chip the skeeve off, and that's not even the tip of the iceberg.

No, the real meat on these bones is a fellow by the name of Dan Schneider, who created and produced this show and several other ones creepy middle aged dudes are obsessed with. He created Victorious, which introduced the world to Ariana Grande, and a spinoff called Sam & Cat, which paired jailbait sex kittens from iCarly and Victorious with each other until the show was cancelled on account of Ariana Grande being an insane diva. He also has a new show coming out this year which stars two twelve year old girls and will premier on September 11th September 12th of this year called Game Shakers. The show will likely attract a large following of middle aged dudes who I'm sure will be interested in the show entirely for its high quality writing and rich character dynamics.

I can't be the only one who notices this shit, right? I'm starting to feel like Charlton Heston the more I think about Dan Schneider fans.

This fandom seems pretty tame next to the like of the bronies, su fans and superwholocks. I don't think I have seen any adult fans of this stupid show.

You'd be surprised. At least when you're not too busy being creeped out. These people pop up like roaches, and I can't even begin to think of any explanation aside from them being the same creepy adult fans of the likes of Hanna Montana since Dan Schneider sitcoms are fucking terrible.

Well, the first one is just dumb click-bait, and the second two seem to be written by people who just happen to like the show. The last one is weird, but adult fan-fiction is a pretty universal thing.

Hell, there are episodes which have been reenacted by a group of adult men. There are people who obsess over shit like leaked lingerie photos of iCarly cast members. Not to mention the new sitcom coming out next week which will assuredly begin the cycle all over again.

Part of it will depend on how much traction Game Shakers'll get. Now that Miranda Cosgrove and Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande are of age, the creepy middle aged dude fandom for them has mostly moved on to other interests like My Little Pony.
