Ice was originally an Old School Runescape streamer before going into variety and IRL. I think he started out purely OSRS, then incorporated VR Chat, then Pokemon Go shortly after it came out. The Pokemon Go streams were thinly veiled IRL streams which worked around Twitch's rules against IRL streaming at the time.
Back then Ice wouldn't pre-screen song donations so he'd have to scurry when the song inevitably became 500 "niggers". The evolution from a shut-in obviously introverted young man fresh out of high school to being comfortable interacting with strangers was wholesome.
When Ice finally gained confidence in himself for the first time in his life, he moved to LA. I stopped watching when the leeches started coming around.
to flesh this out further, even during his OSR Stream he'd still get donos with Nigger randomly laced in the song, until he ether shut it off, or got banned. One of the guys in his clique even made a compilation (until Youtube removed it) of the times Ice streamed and suddenly NIGGER.
Once he got to LA though it was a constant stream of highs, lows, and weird middles. but nonetheless it was super interesting at first to see the dude interacting with strangers in the shit hole that is LA, and his eventual befriending of Andy Milonakis, who was one of the dudes who made Twitch IRL really kick off. And then of course came the perma-ban off twitch after Ice got swatted on a plane flight. I'd say that more or less marked the beginning of the death spiral of his career.
