Let me clarify by stating that this is not a 'What if' question. What I am asking here is what will happen to the forum.

Let's say in the very, very, very slim, practically non-existent instance that Chris actually learns from his mistakes, issues genuine apologies to those he has offended, makes an effort to find a job or at least spend his tugboat more wisely, cleans out the hoard, improves his diet, yada yada and becomes an actual decent human being.

What will happen to this forum and the CWCki? Chris has often made demands that both be taken down. As he is right now, we all know that's not going to happen. But if Chris actually redeems himself and does a 180 in his life, would the admins responsible for both sites actually consider taking them down and giving OPL a fresh start online to go with his fresh start IRL? I'm genuinely curious about this.

Agreed. There's too much there to let it go to waste.

However, just like with the Wallflower incident, I don't see why Chris himself couldn't have more influence on what was/wasn't included. He could help make it more "fair" to him, if he understood that "fair" doesn't just mean "whatever makes me look good".

The chances are unlikely, but if they did happen, one can't change the past.
Chris's best chance would be to go the way of cindilovespiccolo and kinda laugh at his own mistakes and use the Ed page (and in Chris's case, the CWCki) as a reminder of what he used to be.
As for the forums, we have a general thread that's really popular and a lot of users who like each other. Maybe we could just be the "cool guy forums", or something.

The CWCki proper would probably be preserved as a lesson to the entire world of what can go wrong. Posterity's sake and all that.

As for the forums, I'd probably leave them up, provided Null was up for it, as we still have a strong community and that people enjoy talking about stuff not Chris related as well. We probably wouldn't talk much about Chris and it'd be more of a general interest forum, sorta like how PVCC is now.

Hey, if Chris stops doing dumb shit, then I'll lose interest in talking about him. There will always be other lolcows. As for the CWCiki forum, the "Chris" and "Sonichu" boards would just be like archives and the "Lolcow General" would have all the activity.

So it's not like Chris can't escape being "OPL", it's just unlikely he'll ever do what it takes.

There are so many lolcows out there that this forum would never be disbanded, not unless got tired of the idea.

If Chris did turn his life around, he might join us and laugh about how embarrassed he is at how he acted when he was naive about the world. I'd be cheering for him all the way, but sadly, I doubt he's going to do something with his life.

I'm sure that as long as the CWCki is up that we'll get newbies, and that they will have questions about CWC. Maybe Chris will be so good as to tell them whatever they wanted to know

It's kinda sad that even though Chris lacks any solid friend groups, he somehow manages to make communities that offer socialisacion and friendship bloom.

He'd understand that the things he did were worthy of shock, scorn, and ridicule, and that people have the tendency (and the absolute right) to discuss such things in public. He'd also benefit from them remaining intact, as it would serve to punctuate just how far he's come to anyone who isn't aware of him and his past. (CONSIDER ALL GOOGLE RESULTS!)

At very least, if he wanted a job, we could give him some advice. But if he ever realizes he has to grow up, which we all know he won't, he will have to take some responsibility with him.

Well, if everyone would be nice to him and give him some advice, that would be a good thing, especially in the lolcow side of the Internet. But he MUSTN'T expect other people to coddle him all the way.

Agreed, I didn't mean we should get him a job. The main point I was trying to make is if he did a 180 on his life, almost got a job by himself but the info on the cwcki exposing his less flattering deeds was the main reason he didn't get the job for an interview, I think at the very least mods would close down info and maybe give him some help. If he expects people to land him work and a life that's of course laughably unrealistic.

I will say if he got a name change after changing his attitude and looks would help more though.

Yeah. Changing his name back to Christopher and taking out the name Weston, going just as Christopher Chandler, would pretty much give him a fresh start. Googling that name brings up nothing incriminating against OPL.
