Werner Herzog.
If, by some miracle, Chris dies before Herzog, a Herzog documentary about Chris needs to happen. Herzog is a nihilist whose documentaries gaze into the abyss that is an inherently meaningless universe in which people try to find meaning. Chris is tyring to find meaning and happiness in two worlds - the real world (with which he is psychologically incompatible) and the world constructed by the trolls (a world which gives him highs and lows that the real world would never give him but which was constructed for reasons of comedy; a world in which he can never win).

You remind me of my favorite quote from Yukio Mishima (which applies to Chris, if obtusely)

"When a captive lion steps out of his cage, he comes into a wider world than the lion who has known only the wilds. While he was in captivity, there were only two worlds for him - the world of the cage, and the world outside the cage. Now he is free. He roars. He attacks people. He eats them. Yet he is not satisfied, for there is no third world that is neither the world of the cage nor the world outside the cage."

This would bring up an interesting question for Herzog: which is the better world? The world of highs and lows that exists solely for the entertainment and schadenfreude of others but offers an illusion of the possibility of victory, or a world that offers nothing but days that blend into one another until time and life lose all meaning?
