You can have people who are "technically transitioned" but aren't transgender because their cultural framework doesn't believe in troonism. No one in Thailand thought ladyboys are real women, not even themselves. Their driving license say they're male. This is very different from the belief of gender in the western world.

Assuming the beliefs that people can change sex ends, no one believes in troons anymore. Gender identity is turned into a joke just like adoption certificate is a joke.

What would happen to these people where their attempt to escape from themselves come to be obsolete?

What would happen when they believed self identity doesn't exist anymore? What would happen when they simply just don't pass due to exposure, which caused the majority to be able to clock them from 3 miles away.

Considering that there are a significant number of people usually young girls who end up severely regretting trooning out* and end up having health issues later down the line, the most obvious one is their inability to have children, hormones can severely fuck up your reproductive abilities.
A lot of men who troon out often have underlying conditions that make them more likely to fully commit, be it social issues, autism, actual fucking bipolar or schizophrenia or whatever it may be, no sane man just one day turns around and says "I want to be a woman", it is often fetishistic by nature and indicative of a very sick man. These are usually the people who end up 41%ing, some actually succeed in it too which is unfortunate because these men are often sick and should have had genuine help from a mental ward.

For the ones doing it for attention, they usually grow out of it before they're put on hormones or puberty blockers, unfortunately in some countries they really rush the process and once you are on such medications the damage can be hard to reverse.

I'm personally of the belief that gender dysphoria is a real thing but the numbers are severely exaggerated due to just how casual trooning out is. Remember that not everyone who is trooning out actually has real clinical dysphoria and are just bullshitting everyone around them for attention. I am also of the belief that the issue itself isn't treated by cutting one's balls off or swallowing a vile concoction of hormones and antidepressants. Genuine care and therapy and if diagnosed, the right medication and could do people suffering from real mental illnesses a world more good than straight up bullshittery and hormonal imbalances.

So what would happen? A lot of people would look back and say "how the fuck did I fall for this shit?", there would maybe be a scandal of 'ex troons' wanting answers, certain doctors who specialize in the Frankenstein-esque practice of sexual reassignment surgery might even be held accountable... That is if they don't all fuck off to Brazil or Ukraine to hide like they do already.
Suicides wouldn't happen en masse, most people would move on with their lives and hopefully become functional members of society. Those who are far too gone in their quest to coom will probably just do it as a fetish either way, hopefully society would look down on these people more openly than they do now and these people who are clearly maladjusted and wish not to actually right themselves (remember, people can only help you as much as you want to help yourself) will be forced to keep that shit in their own circles, away from the public eye.
