I kinda suspect torpedos/missiles would be the main weapons used in space warfare, and lasers would largely be used to intercept said missiles. Space is huge and open, which means a lot of space combat would likely be conducted from very very far away. Even a weapon capable of moving at the speed of light could potentially be evaded by the target, which would mean there would need to be some kind of course correction for the munition in order for it to reliably connect with its target.
