A Gardevoir is the only option in that light. Or I could be an Elgyem. They're pretty cute.

See people would want to be something cool like Charizard or Tyranitar, or something cute like Meowth or Skitty. That's all well and good, but I'd like to be able to function in normal society, and as a result I'd prefer to be something humanoid, with fingers. Alakazam is particularly good because he can also move things with his mind and has an IQ so ridiculously huge that you'll be able to wriggle your way out of any problem. Plus he has a bitchin' moustache.
