Obamatron hacked us and stole a bunch of information on people's likes and dislikes that his is using for PsyOps so to protect us all the mods took down the rating system. What you see at the bottom of the page is a part of the software that cannot be fixed.

I don't see why we can't have the option to turn alerts on or off, so if you get butthurt easy then you can shut them off.

Do you really think that the kind of person who'd get salty about negative ratings would be rational enough to turn off their rating alerts? If that's how human psychology worked, then this site would be seriously short on content.

There should be a "I'm a giant pussy" option that disables alerts so negative ratings don't hurt people's feefee's.

I like it better this way. I never cared about what ratings I got and I only click on the notifications icon to see if anyone has quoted me and to get the numbers to go away.

I liked being able to see my alerts as soon as they arrived. It should be an option we can choose to have them on/off.

Good/Bad ratings are a good tool to encourage sensible posting on the forum. It worked for me when I joined kiwi.

This may be confirmation bias, but I really do think there's been a downward shift in posting quality recently, although if its ratings, the continuing festering corpse of the entersphere, leakage from Tumblr and Community Watch, or everyone trying to be the next Dynastia, I can't profess to know.
