The short version of it: I guess they are going to install AI on your computer and phones to stalk you and make you buy there shitty video games. I don't know but I kinda smells like bullshit with the menstrual cycle thing. It's creepy as hell if true.

You have to be a real sort of moron to specialize on YouTube drama. If that's still too legit for you, you go the extra level and focus only on YouTube gaming-industry drama and get someone like him. From the dozen or so videos of his that popped up on my recommendations, none of it was even mildly informative, it's all just hype-train based fluff pieces that at least a dozen other gaming channels covered better already.

By the way, I'm pretty sure he recently disclosed that he has a full-autistic young daughter. Genetically speaking, that points out there are high chances he's at least a bit touched as well, if not actually autistic himself, which is likely (and by extension anyone who actually enjoys his videos too).

Of course he is, he is a blatant rip-off of every famous YouTube gaming channel. He clearly does his videos with a non-subtle "what will get me famous in YT gaming" take on things. Being autistic, of course, his conclusion never was "make great content to compete with the best" but instead looked at Jim Sterling's DH debacle or John Bain's op-ed's because they're inflammatory as an aim.

This guy literally built his YT name on the absolute worst parts of what YT has to offer yet somehow the site keeps rewarding him for it, because that's what gets more views since people fall for clickbait videos. Sorry for the :powerlevel:, it just pisses me off that this guy is always on the front page and getting ridiculous amounts of views with absolute shit-tier fluff content while good creators galore just recently lost their partnership status after the Adpocalypses hit everyone last year.

Just to make it clear: good YT creators are allowed to indulge in fluff pieces and inflammatory content now and again. Years of excellence and hard work give them a degree of respect and notoriety with which to address hot-topics and happenings in the industry when stuff does come up.

Meanwhile this guy does nothing but sperg about contentious topics even though he doesn't have any informed opinions or anything to show for himself besides being a fad-monger. He's putting videos out periodically even when there's obviously nothing at all happening in the industry. I don't even know how people can stand listening to him. I get cancer about 2 minutes into his videos by the sheer tone of entitlement and stupidity in his voice and the times I did listen to a whole video, I got nothing out of it either, all he does is rehash what other people are saying elsewhere (hopefully fast enough so as to be the first to release a video about it on YT). /rant

There was patents out of EA (or Activision) talking about doing this. Eg. putting you in a long-range map after buying a sniper rifle, or recognizing you play sniper playstyle and actively groups you will good snipers with microtransaction gear to make you jelly.

I don't feel like watching the whole video but I have already read those Powerpoint slides somewhere /pol/itical.

People at that other place were split on whether those slides were real or whether they were faked by a LARPer because they had numerous typos and lacked the "polish" of a professional industry presentation. Even if they're a hoax, everything in them is chillingly plausible and could be things that have already been announced if you have the patience to dig through patents.

What I saw in those slides about how A.I. can manipulate you into making in-game purchases when you're at your most vulnerable sure makes me glad I mainly stick to old video games (half due to preference for Dreamcast/PS2/OGXbox/Gamecube-era titles anyway and half due to lack of a current gen console or a PC capable of playing recent games, but even if I had the hardware, I'd still stick to games that let you play single player offline).
