On the internet, there is a growing movement of parents who claim their prepubescent children are transgender. As many have pointed out in other threads, most people don't get a proper understanding of sexuality until they reach their teens or even later. Yet many of these transgender kids have supposedly "come out of the closet" at two or three years old, an age when most people can barely form coherent sentences. In many places there are few restrictions against minors undergoing risky procedures such as hormone treatments and even surgery. Young teens are often told by the trans community to get on puberty blockers if they question their gender because going through natural puberty could ruin them; very rarely are the side effects of the medication discussed. See how this could go wrong? Anyways, let's discuss the transgender children phenomenon.
