So trying this again, is anyone here interested in a Blood Bowl league run over at www.fumbbl.com ?
Fumbbl is a free java based version of Blood Bowl LRB6 (the current, and for the foreseeable future last, edition of the rules). We would need at minimum 6 players, myself included, for this to work, but ideally we would prefer at least 8.

I, and others who already know, would be willing to teach the basics of the game to anyone interested, and I have a few website resources that at the least help you figure out the best starting builds for the team. If you are interested, please reply below with your race of choice. To prevent stacking I'm going to at the moment limit it to 2 players of the same race max, and I'll be taking a slot as Humans.

Current Races. Max of 2 per race

Humans: 1
Chaos Warriors: 1(?)

This seems fun, but Specialist Games were before my time and I really have no idea how to play. I already made a Chaos Warrior team, though.

For the record, teams need to be made in the League group, not Ranked, to join a league, you'll need to make another team with a new name.

Ranked and Blackbox are the "competitive" divisions, where you can't play against specific players, just whoever you get matched with. Ranked allows matches at any time and you an accept or decline proposed matches, Blackbox is scheduled regularly (Every 15-60min depending on time of day) and when you put a team in for a match round you MUST play whoever you are matched with. Both of those leagues have rules against intentionally playing the same coach over and over to prevent intentional XP farming. League is the division you make teams in for league play like this, and Stunty Leeg is similar to Ranked except the teams are all homebrew ones built around chaos and insanity.

That said, here is a list of the basic recommended rosters for each race. http://bbtactics.com/strategy/rosters/tv1000-league/ That site also has guides on general strategy for most of the races as well as explinations on what all the skills do ingame.

Also for those of you who are faggots like me, custom images should be PNGs, player portraits should be exactly 95w 147h, and team logos should be 356w 207h although you can cheat quite a bit on the logo height and still have it fit, it's just those are the bounding box before you hit the horizontal yard lines.

If you are looking FOR player portraits, just grab a bunch of Baldur's Gate portrait packs and jam them in a batch resizer. It's what I do for my human/dwarf/elf teams, and they're pretty much already the right ratio, just a bit bigger than FUMBBL portraits are. They do have to be manually approved by admins though, so don't be a bunch of tards if you decide to have icons.

I don't play FB so I'm not that familiar with Blood Bowl, but I could give it a try.

Blood bowl isn't that similar to Fantasy Battle excluding the races, which tbh for the most part are your standard Tolkienesque races. It uses it's own much simpler combat system and movement is grid based not measurement based (IIRC the first edition of it was, but it was found to be very counterproductive to the style of play that was intended).

I know when TotalBiscuit did a streamer tournament, one of them did a quick 5min rundown of the bare basics of the game.

The interface is obviously a bit different, but it's the same exact rulebooks, so it's applicable for the most part.
