Just an educated guess, but the only people I've ever met who vocally despised Internet Historian were Redditards and far-leftists, therefore Invisible Crane is probably both. I mean, IH's videos about DashCon, Pool's Closed, and Shia LaBeouf are eough to trigger any blue check mark, dangerhair, or /r/news mod.
If he doesn’t necessarily approve of their antics, IH has a certain admiration for 4Chan and company’s ability to organize.
For their part, in his videos, Tumblr and company come across as...I believe the polite term is “flailing.”
IH also had a vid on Incognito where he and his girlfriend were talking about how dumb it was to just keep adding new shit the alphabet of sexualities community name. That probably doesn't help much with certain circles.
