One of the most infamous kooks was a wrestling fan, Alex "Dink" Cain.

I really dislike the IWC and I'm glad it's got a thread. Tons of spergs out there who act like autistic gods because they refuse to believe their favorite industry is dying and they're part of what's killing it.

One of the greatest things to come out of the IWC was the Wrestling Sleaze List, a massive text file of bullshit gossip and alleged instances of legit heat between wrestlers. It was originally compiled on something called the Death Valley Driver forums and copies still exist on various webpages.

Wrestling legitimately looks fun, but I have no idea how people keep up with it. Everyone is Hulk Hogan or John Cena to me. I'm also surprised some people still think it's real since I was pretty sure it's widely accepted as choreographed, but what do I know?

Injuries can be quite real. A lot of the old style pro wrestlers are really messed healthwise up due to all the falls, blows they took. Yeah it is like ballet or a theatrical play.

One of the most notorious wrestling spergs is this guy nicknamed "Green Lantern Fan"

He showed up at a bunch of shows and tried really hard to befriend the talent, buying them dinners and shit. Most egregiously, he showed up to Chris Candido's wake when it was pretty obvious fans were NOT welcome was one of his worst offenses. He apparently chatted up the family like he was an old friend but nobody wanted to kick him out.

There were also some pedo vibes because he'd buy front row seats for teenagers to hang out with him (like the unimpressed girl to his right in the Terry Funk photo) and iirc he was banned from ROH shows for forcing his way backstage and trying to get himself over. He would also keep time at shows and shout to the ref when the time limit was reached and allegedly blew the finish as a result.

They only care if the wrestler has good "workrate", and they are obsessed with Dave Meltzer and won't have an opinion on anything until Meltzer gives his.

It amazes me that the more people know wrestling is fake, the more they want it to be realistic. Back in the 70s,the Sheik stabbing a person with a pencil is enough but now they've created a "Muta scale" for how much someone bleeds in a match

I am more like Cornette... I like it to be treated seriously (so no spot monkey shit or Joey Ryan shit) even though yeah, I know it's fake. I want good storylines that make me want to watch next week. When you see people constantly doing arm drags and back flips off the top rope, that shit isn't realistic

Nakamura is a fucking heel. He's supposed to be evil and hypocritical. He claims people are racist against him, but then he goes and is racist against Nakamura. Classic hypocritical heel.

But since he's insulting their darling Nakamura (who Dave Meltzer says has good "workrate"), thus, it was worthy of outrage.

It's the kind of thing that would have been used way back in the day to make the crowd hate somebody, but this is a different world. Racism is a sensitive topic and the vast majority of people are aware that there's a team of people writing and approving everything and it's not just Jinder coming up with this stuff on his own. It was a dumb idea that would (and did) only reflect poorly on the company and not on Jinder himself.
