He's now being charged with possessing firearms and ammo that were at his house. New charge brought in last night. (the feds found what they were looking for)

The feds got a search warrant based on his statement

If he had just kept his mouth shut while coming home to his own arrest raid, he'd just have the flimsy-seeming 2018 charge, but now he's got new, more solid charges against him on top of the weird "sorry, we just forgot to ever arrest or inform you of these" phantom 2018 charges. Although I wouldn't put it past the feds to illegally search his place while executing the arrest warrant, finding what they wanted, then fabricating whatever they needed in a new warrant application to a judge to make what they already found retroactively legal as evidence.

I might have posted about this before, can't remember, but NY borderline eliminated bail in January 2020 and only slightly rolled it back that April. (article)(archive) I don't know if they've made further changes since but nothing Sanchez has done would be the sort of thing that would keep him behind bars until a trial.
