Is advance maternal age the cause of autism -

Do you think the rise of autism is because of advanced maternal age. In the past women tended to have kids in their late teens or their early twenties. But with the onset of feminism women have started to have kids in their thirties or god forbid their forties. Chris’s mother was in her forties when she had him which could explain his autism. Personally I think women should have kids in their twenties BEFORE they’d choose a career. I’m not against feminism but I am against women’s choices that put the health of their children at risk

Autism has an increased risk with teen moms, parents with an age gap (ie 25 yr old mom, 35 yr old dad), and older parents in general. But overall the risk isn't even that high period. Also a big part of the "rise of autism" is better recognition of the condition. It's probably not that many more than decades ago we can just properly diagnose it now.

All threads on this site are autistic, especially if they have autism in the title.

You cant count out things such as autism running through families or things like the increased amount of electromagnetic radiation playing havoc with unborn fetuses
