This is one of the things I have difficulties understanding about America, even if I grew up there (kid of third generation immigrants before we got back to Europe).
I mean, the USA got their culture and I genuinely appreciate it, even if sometimes I ironically post "'Merica FUCK YEAH".
So, why many people hate it so much?
I mean, the places I come from have their moments of pride and shame, but people here love their culture. They can be left or right, conservative or liberals, but the common ground here is culture.
America used to be like that up until 50 years ago.
