Is Chris' life a real-life version of the Truman show? -

I saw this comment a few months ago on the 'God and the bear' video and thought it made an interesting point (http://i.imgur.com/Sn1sF3z.png?1). Is Chris' life like a real life Truman show? He did/does live in a fictional world entirely created by internet trolls; believing his pathetic Sonic recoloring actually had/has millions of fans, believing he has had many ex-girlfriends (I think he only knows that some were trolls). Anyway, what do you guys think?

He used to believe those grandiose boasts, but he probably doesn't any more. His youthful naïveté is no more, unfortunately. In its place is a paranoid, depressed husk of a man.

Whereas once Chris thought he could win, now he doesn't even want to play.

I don't think so, because even if he believed the existence of some of his sweethearts, he was aware at the same time of all the trolling towards him, he just lives in his own mind, by creating his own reality based on all the stuff he has seen on TV and Videogames.

Actually, come to think of it...it IS. Because every minor detail of his life is online for us, the "viewers". He may as well just put a webcam on 24/7 and get it over with. We know more about CWC than we know about just about any Hollywood actor.

You're really overestimating how much is public about Chris. The public content is dwarfed by the private content, and hell, I don't even know how much stuff isn't even documented. I guess large portions of the non-documented stuff might be uninteresting, but still, it exists.

No. His life is like Memento. A man with 10 minutes of short term memory that gets manipulated easily by anyone he talks to. During all of this he hunts for someone who may or may not exist.

Oh, there's tons of stuff on the cwcki. I would think, that you can learn lots of small details about Chris online. But lots of substantial details about Chris exist that aren't public. Your understanding of Chris wouldn't be impossibly flipped, but Chris could definitely surprise you in some ways based on this info.

Christory is pretty objective. I wouldn't say his life has been turned into a Truman show-esque event - what we know is basically the chunks of Chris' life that pique the most interest and generate the most shock value. We really haven't seen the whole picture because we're essentially bystanders, and if you pay closer attention to what the cwc-insiders say in other threads here you get more of an understanding of what I'm getting at.
I always say that my favorite thing about Christory is that it's like a bizarre sociological experiment where we observe this anomaly of a person interact with the world around him and we get to speculate on the how's and why's. But I'm not - for the lack of a better word - naive to the fact that other details exist that we may never know. And that's fine because how many times can we possibly read textwalls of Chris reciting how lonely he is, how the trolls did this and that, etc? But like I said, if you pay closer attention to Marvin/Alec/etc, you kind of get hints of what's going on.
