Is Chris seeing a psychiatrist or counselor? -

Some of his changes in behavior in the past few months (apologizing to Megan, losing weight, raising money for charity, actually trying to get in touch with people from high school instead of whining about it being over, etc.) seem out of character for him. I wonder if someone has been advising him, as these are all (on paper at least) intelligent and well thought out moves for someone in Chris's situation to do, yet don't seem like typical Chris moves (the way they've been executed on the other hand...) Thoughts?

He's too busy blowing his :tugboat: in LEGO's and vidya for using it in professional help.

yes, wasting money so he can live out his sociopathic fantasies is much much better than you know, seeking help.

Wasting his money to fuel his crazy fantasies is less stressful than confronting the reality...

I would really like to believe that he is getting help, but all the same:

1) Megan apology - this was after the cwcki forums railed him for this, and I bet it was also due to his hopes to rekindle his never-existing friendship with his HS gal-pals. For him, making a quick two sentence apology should be payment enough for people to want to talk with him.

2) Raising money for charity - this was a promo done via Playstation and it came with prizes. Even money says if it didn't come from Sony and it didn't come with little baubles, he wouldn't give a rip.

3) Wanting to communicate with his HS gal-pals. This is nothing new. He's been pining over a non-existant friendship for years and he absolutely refuses to believe it has been for a lost cause.

So again, I really wish he was improving, but his acts of kindness and charity aren't out of benevolence and insight, but rather selfishness and narcissism.

I say he is if he's still going to get his tugboat which he won't be using it much to help himself.

He really enjoyed my dick, and my personality.

I think he's still too egotistical to get professional help, court-ordered or otherwise. He might heed advice from Anna, but I think professional counseling is, for now, out of the question.

One can only wish, though.

I think him losing weight may be due to him being malnourished and/or ill from his fast food diet. Also the crappy video aspect warps everything like a fun house.

He might be given his recent changes and incredible weight loss. The whole lego thing could have been his counselor telling him to something productive and well, technically he did.

I think that Greene County may have acquiesced to the weens (AT LAST here!) and now have a state mandated carer that meets up with Chris to make sure he doesn't get himself in to trouble. They may also be doing something about the hoard but are approaching it with kid gloves after they realised how bat-shit insane volatile Barb is.

Oh no, those are very typical behaviors for Chris. He's willing to yield to people to improve his reputation. He might not be able to sustain his bigger weights on the income he and Barb have access to. He's not raising money for charity, he's raising money for himself that also just happens to benefit sick kids. He's getting paid for playing video games. He's tried to find high school friends before.

And nah, he's not seeing a shrink.

I don't know about that, I don't think they'd fund something like that for adults, particularly in Chris' area.

wasn't he court ordered to see one?
He had to get an evaluation, but nothing past that.

Damn shame that, the Chandlers could do with that sort of help.

Nah guys, he's doing it because he's all-around, good natured, high-functioning autistic, heterosexual tomgirl artist. And he likes making those close to him emotionally happy :3

But to be serious, nah, Chris would never consider seriously going to a psychiatrist because he believes he's a normal, functional person and SOCIETY HAS TO ACCEPT THAT.
Like Marvin said, he likely just got an evaluation.

Until its court ordered (again), the answer is probably no.
