I dunno, I always figured they were like that mother-son combo from one of the hoarder show (Might have been Hoarders: Buried Alive?). They might complain about the bugs, and acknowledge they're there, but they won't really do anything about them.

Even if they wanted to, they couldn't, because of the hoard. Exterminators will not do hoarded houses because there's plenty of room for the vermin to hide.

She said he had to keep his door shut to prevent it, but that wouldn't stop them from squeezing under, unless he had towels there or something. More than anything Chris' room is cleaner and less cluttered compared to the rest of the house, so his room isn't as ideal at the moment. Barb could be getting bit up, though.

This brings up an interesting subject. How clean is Chris? What I mean is, what is his perspective on sanitation and hygiene? He doesn't like his mom's hoarding, he constantly uses sanitizing gel on his hands, and he said one of the main reasons he doesn't get along with Bob was that Bob "never washes his hands."

On the other MANO he substitutes [cwc]Axe[/cwc] for bathing a lot and he's cool with .

My guess is that he doesn't like other people's filth but is fine with his own, but IDK. He does have cat shit in his room too.

I don't know how often he bathes now, but in the past it was once every few days. I'm thinking that he doesn't consider himself to be dirty until he feels dirty, thus he doesn't shower until he decides that days after he was already filthy and accumulated over a dozen layers of Axe in the meantime.
