Is Chris truly autistic? (Poll) -

For a while now many people have been on the fence on whether or not Chris HONEST and TRULY has autism, be it high-functioning or otherwise. Some argue he does, some argue he's just stupid and naive, some people can't even really tell. Vote what you think and explain why you think so.

I tend to agree with this one. Add in the factor of some of the more sadistic trolls like Blue Spike and you have yourself a bubbling concoction of "Who knows what is going to happen?"

In the end though, I still think that no matter how autistic he may be, he's still accountable for his actions.

he's just a product of really, really bad parenting and enabling.

truth be told, if i wasn't sent to a very strict discipline boarding school, were I was taught that "your not that important","the world doesn't revolve around you", or "nobody gives a shit about your handicaps". I may have ended up similar to Chris, cause some doctor diagnosed me with asspies, and I would sub-contiously take advantage of people with my "disability" before I went to that boarding school. So I think all that mental disability stuff is a load of horseshit, and people are just ingrained with it, because people enable it.

He's definately High Functioning Autistic. With that said however I feel like a lot (if not most of his behavior) is down to his terrible upbringing. In my opinion his autism doesn't play a big role in itself (for example even his speech seemed to be far better in that old video he made at 16 years old - before he isolated himself and suffered da STRESS) but it serves as a catalyist for the magnificent ball of bad judgement, ego and douchyness that is Chris. He has shown to have reasonable intelligence so we can't even put things down to simple stupidity. (though he sure can be ignorant)

very true. If Chris actually got professional help when he was a teen he could've probably passed a normal person, and his autism would have been completely gone

But he's an unlikeable and messed up person for other reasons.

Simply watching a Chris video for 30 seconds shows that there's quite clearly something wrong with him. The weird speech patterns and facial expressions and his lack of ability to grasp social concepts that the rest of us take for granted, it's all there. Claiming that he isn't Autistic is moronic. I think anybody who says otherwise is likely just annoyed at the monthly cash injection he gets for sitting on his ass. Chris is autistic, and it entitles him to the tugboat.

However, I feel the 'tism is not anyway near as debilitating as he, or his parents would have you think. There's no reason why Chris couldn't have made something of himself, as he's shown repeatedly that he's quite capable of doing things if he genuinely wants to. To me his most debilitating features are his Sheer laziness, pig-headed stubbornness , and self entitlement. It seems to me that his parents attitude towards not treating his autism is also what's responsible for him not having these traits disciplined out of him as a child. Autism likely multiplies these traits and also shields him from being called out on them by the powers that be.

It's too late now though, the expense and effort a potential employer would have to go through to get him ship-shape just wouldn't be worth it. The tugboat's probably the simplest and arguably cheapest solution now.

Is it fair? not its not, but ask yourselves this... Would you swap lives with Chris? I know I wouldn't.
