In the ongoing search for the shittiest game of all time, people have unearthed the heap of old Atari E.T. cartridges, and at some point someone even played Wreck-It Ralph: Rape Edition. But where does Sonic the Hedgehog really stand in the grand scheme of things? Needless to say, he is one of the worst, but is he the best of the worst? Rich Evans and his gay lover try to solve this mystery in the video below.

Back in the 90's? No. Sega made good Sonic games
Now? Fuck yes. All Sonic is good for now is just a cameo appearance in SSB:B. Most everyone gave up on him after this.

Unless you have a Sega genesis there is extremely little reason to call yourself a "Sonic fan" anymore.

Back in the 90's, Sonic Team made four good games. Sonic has had as many bad games in the classic era as the modern era. When people talk about classic Sonic games, they're only talking about 1, 2, CD and 3 & Knuckles. Why? Because literally nothing else is worth mentioning. Every game that wasn't the main four was either meh or shit. I'm not saying the modern era is any better, but there were good modern games. The Adventure games, maybe the Advance games, the Rush games, Colours and Generations were all good games (except for the fishing bullshit in Adventure 1). Some even say Heroes was good. I can't really comment on that because I haven't played it. People may say that they weren't as good as the classics, but they're still good games in their own right.

But yeah, Sonic is fairly overrated. Maybe not the original games, but as a franchise. The series has a good-to-bad ratio that is farther to the bad side than the good. Calling him one of the greats with only a few games worthy to put him on the map is pretty stupid.
