Is the past tense of shitposting "shitposted" or "shatposted"? -

Solution
using the past tenses for both verbs in a neologism makes no sense. It's a new word, you use normal past tense rules for it; thus just adding -ed at the end lest it ends with an irregular verb. Shitposted is correct.
