Is the US a Roman Pagan State? - One nation under Zeus

The US has often been incorrectly compared to the Roman Empire, due to both being big an powerful and while this is dumb I have noticed some interesting comparisons especially in conservative quarters.

The tradional traits of Roman Paganism

-Strong identification with the Gods and the health of the stat
-Big dramatic displays of faith in celebration.
-Culturally imperialist outlook
-worship of individuals as divine
-Emphasis on material power and prosperity
-heroic approach to human worth
-Strong association with Faith and patriotism
-Emphasis on heroic stories
-Big dramatic public displays of faith.

Typically core Christianity
-Distaste for the material world as sinful
-Private contemplative penance and reflection.
-Distrust of the state.
-Universal brotherhood of man
-Rejection of false idols
-Emphasis on suffering.

American ideology
-Manifest destiny

-Emphasis on material wealth and power
-the idea of man as a heroic figure
-Strong pantheon of Heroes both political, military and culturally.
-Massive overcross with faith and patriotism.
-Oprah
-Big dramatic public displays of faith.

While this comparison is harsh and downplays the cross pollination started in the late Roman state, I do genuinly wonder how 'Christian' America really is.
And if America really is a Roman-Pagan state would it be better to drop the pretense?

isnt that worse because it totally discredits it as a religion?
Only because they shot themselves in the foot early on and proclaimed theirs as the infallible word of god.

Jesus Christ himself descends from Heaven holding the Constitution, and he brings the Founding Fathers and all previous presidents with him and this motherfucker in the bottom-right is just like "yeh boiiii, cashmoney"
Its an intended part of the messaging. Note that everyone in the right hand corner is looking away from Jesus for one reason or another, each likely representing some sort of departure from god or whatever. Further note that there are seven of them, possibly corresponding to the seven fatal sins. Rich boi is obvious enough but what about the rest?

Zeus Vult!

If the Eastern Roman Empire (AKA "The Byzantine Empire") was the Second Rome and Tsarist Russia was the Third Rome, then does that mean the United States is the Fourth Rome?

@Emperor Julian

Your ideas are intriguing and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Stop Larping as a roman, faggot.
Romans were just Italian niggers who went and raped all the innocent Celts and Gauls in every way and then fell apart because they couldn't govern for shit.

Only if you'll stop LARP'ing as a Celt.

The Romans helped lay the foundations of Western Civilization alongside the Greeks while the Celts were bog-dwelling savages who were good at metallurgy and bad at everything else until they eventually adopted Roman culture via the Catholic Church and then took up monasticism.

Ever heard of wicker man sacrifices or the ritual of oak and mistletoe? That's some real primitive voodoo shit on par with trying to cure AIDS by raping virgins. The ancient Celts were the niggers of Europe.

All jokes and antiquated 19th Century rhetoric aside, @Emperor Julian does have a point in that the United States was in some ways deliberately modeled after the pagan Roman Republic and the Founding Fathers did study classical writers extensively

There's a reason why so many major government buildings in Washington DC were built to look like ancient Greek and Roman palaces and temples, including the White House, the Capitol Building, and the Supreme Court.

The only truly pagan people in the US, that could be described as upholding the Graeco-Roman tradition, are the affluent hollywood jews who just want to enhance their will to power and fuck hot goyim sluts. These people would feel at home at a nice ancient time orgy. Subservient to them are the so-called "white people" of the US who are very pathetic, and who are rightfully slaves but slavery is cool so it's okay.

The Saesneg can say what he wants, but one day, when he's not looking, I'll be there, with me woad and me pointed stick. Then you will learn. The Cymraeg are only below Gamers when it comes to oppression.

On thread topic though, I think that it would really be difficult to compare how religion is tied into Ancient Roman society and how religion is tied in the states. Whilst the states is heavily christian, it's still much more of a melting pot than Roman religious society, where people of different faiths were actively thrown to the lions. The founding fathers did allow for freedom of religion (I think, they don't teach much before the prohibition era here) so I think the approach is separate there.

The other points I could kind of see, though the arts in America is suffering compared to the arts of Rome, though I think that's more a modern culture thing.
