If he's not lying about filling out a SF86, it implies that he's working on some sort of government contract with AWS. The SF86 form is the first step of the background check that's conducted before a person is granted security clearance by the federal government. Without going into too many details, I had to fill one of those out post-9/11 for Secret clearance, and it didn't even involve a direct interview (though they did call up the references I listed to verify things and establish my character). Back then, an interview/polygraph test was only administered for Top Secret, SCI, and SAP clearances, but maybe things have changed since then.
edit: Did some research, and the interview happens below TS if the background check pulls up red flags. Things like bad finances (which Izzy has admitted to) or foreign relatives (which are also likely in his case) can trigger it.
Sorry to ramble about semi-irrelevant shit. I'm just trying to figure out why Izzy of all people would need a security clearance.
edit2: Apparently the DoD has started using AWS and Amazon is hiring for positions that require clearance. I guess that's not surprising. What is surprising is that they'd let an idiot like Izzy do that work.

The position he was at before doesn't really require a lot of brain cells to do. Him doing cryptography is honestly a bit surprising, but if he can stick it out more power to him. Honestly, the best thing Izzy could do is just step back and focus on the relevant certs to get a better clearance and further his career.
That said, I wouldn't be surprised if he's exaggerating his accomplishments on LinkedIn again since I know for a fact his position labeled "abuse" was really desktop support and that he developed a reputation for making mountains out of molehills and complaining to HR constantly about abuse prevention despite that not being his fucking wheelhouse.
If Manning taught us anything, it's that deeply mentally ill people can still get a security clearance.

IIRC Izzy got nailed hard during a honeypot that was targeted toward Mombot. He came out looking like the abuser, shouting his victory over her from the rooftops until she dropped the information that it was a sting operation from the start. While Galvez and Myers were sperging over the weebs translating shit on their own, Mombot repeatedly blew giant holes in their defense of the shit translation, and actively called for gamers to avoid buying anything that gets butchered in NOA's localization room. The usual suspects were fucking pissed.
2. Mombot is shamelessly pro-GG and they have not been able to stop her.
This may seem like a "So fucking what?" moment, but bear in mind that the entire MO of the Anti-GG nuts was that GG had to be systemically deplatformed. Mombot shows up and subsequently shows just how much better GG was at this whole internet thing, and unlike many other "big" GGers, Mombot has zero compunction about grinding the shitheads into the dirt until they cry.
