It sucks that Cyberpunk 2077’s edgelord marketing worked so well -

Doesn't the gayme allow you to go full balls to the wall with char customization, even offering a genital customizer? And most importantly of all you could install a pussy on a big muscular male character or a massive dong and balls on a female character? Yet they're still bitching and calling it "reactionary"?
Oh also, regarding the Asian gang using swords despite it being a "cyberpunk" setting, doesn't Shadowrun, the setting and game every cyberpunk setting and their mother rips off, have cyborg warriors calling themselves "street samurai" who go around slicing shit up with their katanas (nothing personnel)? Isn't there a class that kills people with chi blasts conjured through literal kung fu magic? There really is no pleasing these people.

Well, Shadowrun really isn't very representative of Cyberpunk in general as it has literal magick, elves, orcs, trolls, dragons etc and people who can use kung fu superpowers to arm-wrestle cyber arms and jump over buildings. It stole the term "Street samurai" from William Gibsons novel Neuromancer, where the character called as such by their profession was a cybered up assasin who didn't use katanas, but rather cyber claws that slid out of her fingernails. The novel does feature another assasin who is a vat-grown kung fu monk, who actually is implied to have real mystical abilities derived from practicing so much zen, though.

Don't forget deckers, even though later Shadowrun editions replaced them with hackers and technomancers.

Hell, there's a lot of minutiae in first and to a lesser degree second editions that are straight up lifted, to the point players even today jokingly refer to no-magic runs of Shadowrun as "Gibson runs".
