Yes we absolutely are.

It took me like five minutes to find out you're an obese fatty with an eating disorder who got raped as a child and spent time in mental institutions and now here I am telling everyone about it.
okay this is complicated and treads on a few issues

1. I don't want to scare away the girls from this board by making it open season on them, but
2. I literally have no idea how I can make it any more obvious that you should never register on this site with a username you use anywhere else, and you should never drop information that would lead to you. If it's not Dynastia, it'd be Sam, or someone else.

I'm in a position where I just can't fucking clean this up. I will very occasionally do some 1984 shit to help dumb people, but this is like, wowee, heckin' bad man. Even my ministry of truth can't fix this.

If you use a username that can be googled and linked directly to you, PM me NOW.

You could make a separate page that someone would have to go through, read, and perhaps answer a few questions about before they'd be taken to the sign-up page, which still would hold those same warnings, only bigger.

The thread that I frequent has seen several people who, for some reason, don't follow this. It's not like one user, who only registered because he was a historical figure to the cow in question, no, these people came straight from derpibooru, using the exact same usernames they used to write lewd MLP fanfiction. How is the fact that most of us find this to be cringeworthy completely lost on them? The world isn't "love and tolerate" or whatever the fuck the bronies' stupid mantra is. Hell, I almost signed up with a common username I use, and was acting slightly foolish in the farms before I got a hang of the "culture", so to speak.

That being said, @Null, I firmly believe that you have to keep making ways of informing newcomers (who aren't people of interest, like @Doopie or @Alec Benson Leary) NOT to register with their own common usernames. Make it some flashy rainbow text, post pictures of incidents where people were driven off the farms after using their personal usernames, I dunno.

They have to understand that people WILL try to find them and people WILL try to make fun of them.

What more can be done? Have it set so that once you register, a report showing your username use over the internet pops up, with random images and sentences selected by key words suggesting anger, deviance and powerlevel? I think enough is done by having that banner. If Token_Texan isn't embarrassed about being a plus-sized hillbilly then she will be okay

I'm personally sick of people thinking they're exempt from the "don't use usernames you've used before" guideline that's pretty fucking clearly laid out.

Hence why I believe it should be harder for people to sign up without reading the rules and acknowledging them. Whatever it takes.

This isn't even being said from a position of vitriol, either, it's just if you want to be a part of the forum, especially this one, then mind yourself. Nobody wants lolcows, imo. They're more often than not a tragic case discovered accidentally, and they usually can't help themselves. Feel free to disagree, that's just my perspective.

Okay I think I know why these idiots do this. One is that they believe people care about their personal blogs (hint: we don't) and that there isn't enough information for kiwis to dox them (hint: we do.)

So they create a username based on their blogs and try to shill them as much as they can. Even that big box is kind of a challenge for them, because their heads are so up their asses they can't see why anyone would want to dox them and hey if they do, more attention to them!
