Jace Video Game (Undecided Title) -

Here's a quick screencap from the video game I'm making with Jace in it.

It is going to be a side scroller where Jace must save his friends from his enemies. If you guys have any questions about the game, and ideas please share them on this thread. Also I'm new to making games and this will be my first so I'm not professional and can't do everything. I will try to learn how to do more things along the way as I create this game.

Yea I wanna get into making better sprites, so far it's just a testing sprite for now as the game is in very earlier alpha

Picking up the DUEL-WIELD DESERT EAGLES OF AWESOMENESS!!!! gives you a ranged attack.
All the enemies are generic arab terrorists and stereotypical gays.

lol I was definitely thinking of have weed as health. I was also gonna have the enemies reflect the bosses jace would fight against for each stage.

So, what would the bosses be? Oh, how about the finial boss is Ozombie bin Ladin, back from the dead to take his revenge on our ex-marine hero.

Well FramerGirl had suggested DD420 as the boss who kidnaps her. The characters who would be captured would be a few of Jace's friends like John Cena, etc.

And enemies would be Gamerfood (main boss probably named Ackbar)

The game should be a horror game like Amnesia.

You are Jace, constantly running out of your meds. You are parkouring around a military base looking for what medicine you can to keep your "other self" in check.

When you can't find meds you get "different" - this is called the "Obamacare Meter" (constantly gauging your med level). You feel terrorism everywhere, you feel insurgents everywhere. But where are they coming from?

Your goal for this game? To find some 420, chill, and get your dick wet. OK dude?

That would be totally realistic.

Awesome idea! You could make the rescued friends playable characters that you can switch to at any time depending on the facts of the situation (think Bucky O'Hare on the NES). So while Jace would be a parkour expert (wall-jumps, double jumps) with a ranged attack (pick up a second deagle for duel-wielding and increased rate of fire, gold paint job for increased damage, tactical scythe for a better melee attack), John Cena would be a close combat specialist who takes out the enemy soldiers with wrestling moves. You already mentioned weed for extra health, you could also have monster energy drinks for temporary speed boosts.

Voice clips from the videos as sound effects are pretty much mandatory.

Locations: Suburbia, McDonald's, Iraqanistan.

For voice acting, IF Jace was cool with this it'd be pretty cool to have him voice himself

My first thought impression upon seeing that screenshot is a constant runner/parkour type game like canabalt. It would fit well with the parkourdude theme, and maybe you could add in weed powerups and an airsoft deagle to shoot obstacles/bosses with. The tactical scythe should also make an appearance.

I had the same thought on seeing the thread and the screen shots. End of level 1, Jace rescues Cena who can't shoot guns but has double health / can punch through some walls, etc, etc.

Not gonna lie, I'd play the shit out of a Jace sidescroller.
