According to Camille Paglia, there are two modes of homosexuality. One that reveres all things feminine and one that rejects all femininity in the pursuit of the masculine ideal. To fight for the heroic ideal that is masculinity, one must shed all that is female or feminine. Like all good heroes, Jack Donovan was born to a blue collar family in rural Pennsylvania. This was the turning point in his career where being a man mattered more to him than anything else. This led him on the journey to reclaim his right as masculine man.
