The official website for the Japanese and Taiwanese co-produced Ken En Ken: Aoki Kagayaki anime of DOMO Studio's Xuan-Yuan Sword(Ken En Ken) role-playing game series revealed the main cast and staff on Thursday. The anime will have an original story and premiere this fall.

The cast includes: (Note: character name romanizations not confirmed.)

Hiroshi Watanabe (Hetalia The Beautiful World, Hell Girl: Three Vessels) is directing the series at Studio DEEN (Junji Ito "Collection", Hozuki's Coolheadedness). Katsuhiko Takayama (Sagrada Reset, Aldnoah.Zero) is in charge of series composition, and Michinori Chiba (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, Mobile Suit Gundam 00) is designing the characters.

The anime is a collaboration between TV Tokyo, Taiwanese video game developer Softstar Entertainment, and anime company Nada Holdings(Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club). TV Tokyofirst announced the project in 2015, and the announcement listed the 2004 Xuan-Yuan Sword: The Millennial Destinygame as providing the base for the story.

Softstar Entertainment's DOMO Studio develops the Xuan-Yuan Sword video game series for PC. The series features Chinese mythology, as well as historical figures and events, and it centers on the Xuan-Yuan Sword that the Yellow Emperor used to defend ancient China. The original role-playing game debuted in 1990, and the most recent game, Xuan-Yuan Sword: The Gate of Firmament, launched in 2015. The series has also inspired novel, comic, and live-action special adaptations.

Dropped already, also those anime are always garbage because Taiwan and China only copy what the Japaneses do with a lot of edge, i think the only thing that they do that is more or less original is Wuxia and is becoming somehow popular thanks to Thunderbolt Fantasy
