Just by looking at their (sfw) Twitter, their art has lightyear's more style and character to it than Kabier's anyway. This fanart pic from years ago even portrays that.

What makes you think he's successful in keeping any art slave? Jason's rep in the wider furry community is more or less in the gutter, and he's 100% persona non grata on furry twitter, most of FurAffinity and e621. The very mention of Jason in any furry space will invite scorn from those in the know, to at best indifference from those who keep themselves apolitical. That's not conducive to any sort of recruitment effort.
The only one keeping him relevant at all is Kabier. I daresay Kabier is the actual breadwinner of the house, not her cuck.
Young artists who are new on the scene might not know better. I suspect most of the people he hires are naive teenagers who don't understand how hourly rates and wages work. There's an endless number of teenage/early 20s furry hobby artists willing to work for less than a $1/hour taking commissions, especially when established content creators like Kabier and Jason groom them by telling them how great and special they are to have such an exclusive opportunity. They grow up, and most of them either leave the fandom or start charging more for their time. Then, the cycle starts over.
