Just thought I'd make a place where we can discuss the 'love' life of the Golden Knight., his ideas about his ideal woman, and perhaps also his depictions of women (real and imagined) in his comics.

Jay seems to think he's an incredibly romantic guy, some kind of chivalrous hero from romantic fiction. Of course, romantic heroes usually don't shoot their lady loves in the vagina. The way he has treated the women in his life gives us a lot of insight into how incredibly fucked up he is.

Also girls who will not force him to do intense, terrifying things like riding kiddie coasters. He'd rather skip amusement parks altogether.

And yes! I've noticed that too. He does not heap praise on the girls he "loves". He's given a few compliments, but they're always tempered with criticisms. I don't think he's smart enough to do that with the intent of keeping self-esteem low, but it seems to me that's how he instinctively operates.

Also noticeable is that he wants them to heap praises onto him, but he gives... maybe one half-assed comment if it isn't full of criticism.

While he is a weenie, at the same time I'm a little concerned with the prospect that he finds someone into BDSM IRL and either seriously injures her or flips out on her because she was the dominant partner. Thankfully, the chances of that happening seems very low considering that -- y'know -- he's a total wuss.

I'm by no means an expert on Jay but I'm pretty shore that he's not actually a sadist. He WANTS to be a sadist, but what he really seems to get off on is tickling and writhing around more than actually inflicting pain. I think he's into garden variety BDSM and if you ever handed him a lash and told him to go to down on a girl's feet he'd chicken out because he doesn't get off on pain so much as he wants to think he gets off on pain because it fits his bad ass image.

So I'm not worried about physical abuse, but moreso the emotional abuse that Heather went through. Jay is huge on guilt trips (which you can see in his posts to Heather, Lisa and Amanda on DA) and he will whine and plead and sulk and guilt trip to get his way. The fainting thing was disgustingly manipulative.

At least it's one possibility to put to bed, but the emotional abuse is definitely still something to be wary of.

I had finally caught up to that part. Faking a fainting spell just to get out of a ride, good god. It strikes me how over the top it is; I mean, wouldn't it be easier and not-quite-so fear-inducing if he had simply faked nausea or something? Faking isn't the most acceptable way (y'know, versus being an adult about it), but fainting?

Yeah, that was scary and disgusting. Poor Heather. He has no issue manipulating people. Amanda posts on Jay's DA that her sister just had a baby and so she won't be around much. Jay replies with 'oh that's awesome, I totally understand, but your absence will cause me physical pain'. It's a clear pattern with him. I know he tried to guilt Lisa into stuff as well. He knows that guilt produces results and he milks it for all it's worth.

lol He doesn't even realize -- or doesn't care -- that those are contradictory. Even when he says something that would actually be normal or acceptable, he manages to fuck it up with manipulation or just him being a creep.

Funny how instead of a knight, Jay has more in common with a king.

As we've seen, it seems doubtful a truly badass heroine would want anything to do with Jay. Yet he's still adamant that that's what he wants. I doubt she'd want to stick around for long even if he did get her.

Has it ever occurred to him as well that maybe, just maybe, his sweetheart might not appreciate having the details of their relationship or his libido brought up in casual conversation?
