I've never understood this complaint. Whether it's on my phone or my pc youtube embeds work fine for me. Are you running a 486?

firefox handles large amounts of javascript or embedded shit like a bear trying to jerk off an ant
chrome's probably fine with it but i need noscript to function
really locks up on my pc and phone firefox though

I also have about 20 or more tabs open at one time.

you got ad-blocker or malware scan software? sounds more like a bunch of crap is running in the background draining resources.
