There is something that doesn't feel right to me with Yaniv's eyes and stare, it's almost as if he doesn't look even human, an uncanny valley thing.
As someone said pages before, you could see Terry's humanity on his eyes. Sure he had problems, but he looked like someone with an inner life, not quite like Yaniv where there are only perversion.

I mostly agree, but i have a problem with this statement. This seems to assume that yanny would go tranny were there no social benefit to it, as was the case in the past. As far as I am concerned, Yaniv is only playing the troony toons games for the benefits this current political climate affords him. Were this, say, the 1950's where his perversions would be met with a tire iron and a length of rope, I almost guarantee he would instead be the garden variety creeper acting out of a van.

It's not just the clothes though. He's morbidly obese and probably has diabetes or is well in the way to it. He gets out of breath quickly. His arteries are probably clogged and his heart is under stress from all that fat.

So for all his worrying about health, he doesn't worry about the one condition he obviously has and is going to lead to premature death.

Our favorite troon does indeed have the Beetus. He even uses a convenient FreeStyle Libre sensor to check his blood sugar levels because he's obviously too retarded to manage them on his own. I dunno how it is in Leaf Land, but in Eurostan you don't simply get those sensors, especially not a type II tard like Yaniv. Even type I diabetics have to go through a lengthy and difficult process to get those sensors, and they get a limited number.

This was and still is a HUGE issue in Vancouver / Lower Mainland. Riverview Hospital was a massive in patient and custodial mental health facility in Coquitlam which housed and treated the worst cases of mental illness in the area. In 2002 Riverview was shut down in place of community psychiatric treatment based on arguments of cost savings and poor patient conditions (the building was ancient). When it was shut down, the residents were bused into the downtrodden downtown lower east side of Vancouver and given single room occupancy (SRO) hotel rooms in bug and drug infested buildings. The neighborhood which they were sent to live, East Hastings, was and still is home to the largest open air drug market in North America. Community policing polices mean open drug use is widespread and unchecked. In the 90's the community experienced the worst AIDS outbreak ever seen in North America. Since the former Riverview patients were dropped off in East Hastings, a large majority of them started using hard drugs. Heroin and meth are the drugs of choice now, but back when Riverview closed crack cocaine and heroin were the drugs to use.

So you have a situation where people like JY are basically never institutionalized because the facilities no longer exist. Community treatment has taken it's place instead. But the reality of community psychiatric treatment is bleak in BC, because the system is sorely under funded. Psychiatrists are stretched to their limits, and the system is beyond full which leads to long waits and piss poor quality of treatment for people who should be under custodial care. Even beds for drug treatment have long waitlists. Private industry and charities have barely filled the gaps, and all too often if a person seeks psychological help from a local charity it comes with the condition of religiosity.

JY is a perfect example of what can happen when the mental health system fails. And in the lower mainland, the system is all but dismantled. He'd have a difficult time finding meaningful help even if he tried. Our only hope is for him to be jailed for a crime and sent to a forensic hospital.

This is the important point right here. In Toronto, the biggest mental health facility, CAMH, is a for profit hospital. It's for profit because the government doesn't want to deal with it or pay for it either. Every election people go on about taxes. Housing and caring for these people costs a lot of money and no one wants to pay. That's the long and the short of it.

They can talk about patient outcomes all day long but it's a smokescreen for the real issue which is cost savings. If, for instance, you ship all the crazy people off the premises, you can rent out half the square footage to Starbucks and the like. No one wants to go to a Starbucks near a city block infested with schizophrenic people. And you can clearly see patient outcomes are not getting better.

And of course, they will say they have no choice but to rent half the space out to businesses because it just costs so much to take care of these mentally ill people that they already kicked out. But to do that, they need to build build build and upgrade everything. Guess what? That's gonna cost a lot of money too. Remember that when they start their fundraising efforts. This is what you're actually donating to when you donate to a place like CAMH. Your dollars probably built a coffee shop rather than helped any mental illness related issue.
