I think a pretty fair amount of us know who this youtuber is but for the few who aren't Jim Can't Swim is a really good content creator. He goes into psychological deep dives of well known and some few unknown criminal cases. He methodically dissects the rationale and motivations of violent (or sometimes insane) criminals. He's production quality is on par if not better than most criminal TV shows. Here's some of us work:

The main reason why I'm making this thread is because youtube in their infinite wisdom decided to baleet a shit ton of his videos so majority of the good ones will be for his patrons on patreon only. If he somehow ends up getting completely erased off youtube or decides to leave (which he easily can btw. As of now this guy has 16k+ patrons. The lowest patron tier is $1 so he's at least making $16,000 a month before taxes) I want his content to be remembered and archived.

He's ok. If anything i'm more interested in the actual interrogation. There's times where his explanation for a suspect's behaviour makes no sense, saying a guilty person would only act a certain way when a nervous innocent person would act that same way and has.

I'd like to see him breakdown an innocent person being interrogated or an interrogation that failed, because all of his videos are about guilty, sentenced criminals, and it's easy to paint a narrative about their behaviour.

On a side note, man police interrogation cameras and audio are horeshit. It's sad the officer's phones could take better capture than that garbage.

I like his videos for the most part, though there was one claim he made that was so blatantly false that it makes me question how well researched his videos actually are.

In the Patreon only video about child interrogations, he claimed that Beth Thomas' (the little girl from the Child of Rage documentary) final fate was unknown. This is complete bullshit as it's well-documented fact that Beth grew up to be a nurse, and while still being fucked in the head, (her stance and cooperation in the utterly horrific Candace Nemaker trial is all that needs to be said), she can at least function in society. It's not like this information is not hard to find either. You can fucking find it on the documentary's Wikipedia page.

What we don't know is what happened to her brother Jonathan, because there seems to be absolutely no information on him outside of the abuse he suffered as a child along with his sister. He seems to have completely dropped off the face of the Earth.

I'd throw him a buck if he wasn't such a terrible criminologist. The interviews are entertaining, but his opinions and musings are nothing but pandering to the audience. He often insults the interrogators, presenting them as deceivers and liars, or belittles the suspects as mere madmen. Neither of which are helpful if you want to understand the "art" of interrogation.

Watched a couple of his videos because I saw someone else suggest him here on KF. Honestly, I was disappointed. I don't find his analysis deep nor groundbreaking, it's stuff that you can easily find online if you're vaguely interested in the subject. Plus the videos are too long and his commentary/explanations are too short: on a 40 minute long footage of interviews, he only gives what, 10-15 minutes explanation, at best? Not really worth watching the video then, in my opinion.

I also find the narrator's voice and accent annoying.

I find it interesting that all the videos are narrated by kizzume. Who is the Jim that can't swim?

I don't pay much attention to the commentary. I'm really just there to watch the interrogations.

I can't believe this guy hasn't done an episode on the Steven Mcdaniel interrogation. But yeah, he has an odd armchair outlook on how an interrogation should go down and will talk shit about a detective if he thinks they aren't asking the right questions.

I too discovered him by being a Mr Metokur sycophant. I think they are interesting, I don't see the criticism of some here. Personally I find it an interesting true crime take, focusing just on the interrogations with editing and intermittent commentary to make it a bit more palpatable.
