The thing most convincing to me is that there is some people search tool out there that gives an unintended big hit for the name.

These people tools basically buy marketing data from companies that collect it. Usually that marketing data goes to big advertising firms, but sometimes whitepage / people searcher companies buy it too to dox everyone in the country to make money. One of these, I forget off the top of my head, links James with Jem Lee. That's Jade. There's very little probability that an Asian woman named Jem is associated with a white man named Jim in Minnesota and it just so happens to be a coincidence.

Somewhere, Jem bought something under her name using Jim's credit card or vice versa or had it delivered to Jim or something and the big, gaping maw that is endless data collection witnessed it.

Listen, the doxing was actually done by someone who spent a lot of time on this and who is probably the best fixer on kf. They have had this hypothesis for a while but finally used a method to verify it that they feel is sound enough that it should be accepted as true. I concurred. If you don’t feel that this is Jim, it is rational to question that assertion, but at the end of the day there is no real obligation to share methods with the audience, especially if information was shared with staff. If you don’t believe it is Jim then that is fine. If you feel you need to see how he was doxed to believe it that is rational. But I’m here to tell you that when your reaction is to get up in your back about it then you become amusing.

This is sort of the inverse of how cows are trolled by info being dropped on them where fans of the cow become upset when they cannot see how info about their good boy was outed. The solution is for you to sit back, think, and be resourceful and come up with a method that would test whether or not it is Jim. That said, you’re feeding the trolls by snapping back so hard. If this continues then we will have to issue threadbans.
