Yes Jim, too much can very well be off-brand. People were interested when there was actual gaming talk. You got rid of all that to sperg more about CAPITALISM!!!! and TRANS GENOCIDE!!! I think that definitely counts as off-brand. Also as people pointed out before, way back in the day it was pretty clear the angry persona was mostly a character; over the years the character has been replaced by just Jim being a douche. I used to watch Jim years back and stopped watching way before the troon saga because he just became single-note and didn't seem to enjoy games at all anymore. If anything the troon saga brought me back to at least watch from the back rows to see him flail around on the internet desperately trying to stay relevant while everyone abandons him.

Looking at the recent tweets, Jim really want's to be the topic of his videos, except noone gives 2 shits about him and they are just there for his takes on the gaming industry. Since hes no longer doing that (including bragging about not watching the biggest yearly gaming event because hes stunning and brave), he's getting mass unsubbed. What annoys me is that, like every internet troon, he just blames his failures on people being sexist.

Sadly he's too up far up his ass to actually step back and try to improve.

This is one of those lolcows that would really benefit from just staying away from the internet, even if he would need to lose some money for a few months and come back. The more he forces this shit the more his image becomes associated with a joke. He was fired from Destructoid, from the Escapist and now from his own business.

Funny you put it like that, because I have had a string of corporate jobs where this shit is like you said, buried by HR and Legal as per usual. Its usually an open secret as well. Why? Same reason the FNAF guy was a dono to both political parties: businesses arent in it for the liability, they're in it to profit.
There is a formula that the threshhold hasnt been met. Is it fair? No. But few people are defined by thier employer. If you dont like it, seek employment elsewhere.

Do you think he's ever gone back and comparatively watched his old stuff and new stuff? Do you think he can do that without lying to himself about the differences? All he's saying is "i've always been political, I've always been this or that or the other thing. The only thing that's REALLY changed is this one thing". But he doesn't seem to understand that's not what people are saying.

You know they often say the simplest solution is the most likely. Which he probably assumes is "coming out equals transphobia". But, we saw what he did. He made up excuse after excuse after nonsensical explanation for all the problems with that scenario. And when you're doing that, you're not longer going down the simple route. You just had your biggest single day loss, ever. I thought Youtube was burying your videos? What, you suddenly got discoverability in the middle of pride month for one video? Except... there are still so many problems with that. No Jim. Subs just can't continue to stick around as you spiral down the well circular logic and repetitive talking points.

If I wanted to parody Jim at this point this is what I'd do. I've write an 8 minute rant that is easy to redirect into. Then I'd just make a new video, slap a 1 to 2 minute subject at the start of it, and the rest of the video is just copy and paste from the previous week. Thank God I'm Not You, Jim. I'd be doing the same shit you're doing, but wasting far less time.

Cyril Sneer is the bad guy from Raccoons, I assumed everyone was as autistically familiar with Raccoons lore as I am so I do apologise.

I like some of these other suggestions, although I'd roll the Ubisoft ones into a more general 'Jim takes credit for something he had little to no effect on' so you could apply it to anything from lootbox regulations to inventing Five Nights At Freddy's.

References to his boy-toy Justin are also definitely frequent enough to merit a square, as is said boy-toy's shitty editing skills.
