Honestly I too am trying to put my finger on when the flip happened. Was it his now estranged hamplanet filling his head with progressive ideas? A need to be liked by mainstream indie games crowd? To much estrogen due to his fat cells?

I think its like Oliver Onions said earlier on in the thread, his edgy persona was not getting him any, and so he changed a bit to get some and it worked. There was a YouTuber (I forget which) that made the point that MtF troons and drag queens are basically female blackface. They're never tomboys, or the kind of women that wear trousers. They always dress like little girls with long dresses and bows in their hair. I think some Kiwis made the same point.

I think a point that is often missed with that critic is that a lot of transgender people, if they dressed as tomboyish women, would still look exactly like men, and while being (mostly) treated like a woman while very obviously being trans' isn't exactly optimal, it's better than being treated like a man to most.

Doesn't really make it any less pathetic of a sight, and I'm sure some do enjoy it (But then again, so do some natural women), but the accusation often seems to conflate someone needing (Relativement speaking) to abide by gender stereotypes with someone wanting to.

And then there's also the fact that some transgender people are a bit...special, and don't seem to entirely grasp how to nail "enough yet not too much" (The most well-known and speaking example being those who wear entirely too much make-up and could play a ghetto prostitute in a 90's movie). They often seem to be the older ones, and I wonder if it's because they have difficulties learning at their age, between the boomer mentality and not using the internet to google the simplest of tutorials on how to do things.
