Ousted presidential candidate Pete Buttigeg is hosting an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live this week for some reason. I can only assume the audience will be full of mayo jars and Ryan Murphy.

One Twitter user in particular is not happy about this.

• Reacting to the news Pete Buttigieg is going to be guest hosting Jimmy Kimmel's show, former writer Jack Allison decided to drop some deets on what it was like working for the show

• (BTW if his name seems familiar it's because Allison is also the writer who wrote about how Michael Che became obsessed with him after he dropped a few tweets criticizing SNL)

• Reveals that the writers openly used homophobic and racial slurs

• Allison also reveals that when his struggles with mental issues became public knowledge at the Kimmel offices he was ostracized by his co-workers and many accused him of faking his struggles

• Allison claims that when he revealed his salary to a female co-worker so that she could use it as leverage to get a pay bump Kimmel accused him of violating his trust and also admitted that no one except Kimmel himself believed that he had mental issues

That post from Jimmy about sharing salaries is a big mistake. Its worker 101 to not talk about salaries and to rub that shit in to others in the work place I'm not surprised they thought his suicide contemplation was fake. That is a big breach of trust and Kimmel had every right to send that email. Given how polite he was with that e-mail I'd say he could stand to be a little more serious with his staff.

Honestly this makes me feel for Kimmel. As much as people shit on him for crying, yes having kids fucks men up. There's a reason late night hosts didnt have offspring until recently. Almost no good comedy comes from guys with kids.

And his complaints about the writers room is rather odd, its exactly what you would expect from a writers room that was essentially made up of everyone from The Man Show, even Adam Carolla essentially was a writer for the show until 2011 at the earliest.

Exactly pretty much the entire writing team for the man show left with jimmy, even adam was a writer until 2011 at the earliest. Honestly this paints jimmy in a much better light for me. Most people thought it was forced on him. But he legitimately did have a "come to jesus" moment after his kid got sick. Also this is why late night hosts and comedians didnt have kids or wives they make you less funny.
