Wanna bet he's stealing donations? Or maybe he is a charity case himself.I'm wondering what he's doing to support himself financially.

Nah, I doubt he's a grifter. I think he just has a genuine, but still deeply autistic, obsession with charities.Wanna bet he's stealing donations? Or maybe he is a charity case himself.
I mean no matter what the answer this is still weird as fuck. I feel like your theory is the most rational. Maybe he was forced to do nothing but charity growing up as a kid and it's why he has a kink for forcing others into charity.Nah, I doubt he's a grifter. I think that second option is more likely. Maybe his parents were extremely involved with charities when he was at a very influential age? I'd say that's when most fetishes form, at least.
If anyone has one, I'd love to hear another theory. This guy's fascinating.
Good timing. I did a little digging and found a woman named Patricia Gallin, who also just so happens to live in London, Ontario. Here's a transcript where she addresses Ontario's legislature on the "Services for Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act":I think that second option is more likely. Given this committee meeting happened in 2008, that matches up perfectly with John's current age (35). So this is definitely his mum.Ms. Patricia Gallin: My name is Patricia Gallin. I'm a member of Autism Ontario, London. I'm also the parent of a 23-year-old son with Asperger's syndrome...
Just a little bit of information Autism Ontario: We are a volunteer network of 30 chapters throughout the province and we represent thousands of families living with children and adults with autism spectrum disorder... [etc, etc]
According to this website, Patricia also won the annual Volunteer Award for her work with Autism Ontario back in 2005. I wouldn't be surprised if she encouraged John to help volunteer with such organizations, causing his unique interests. We're really gratified that using an IQ score is no longer a prime consideration for eligibility under Bill 77. Previously, the benchmark was an IQ of less than 70, and this definitely made higher-functioning individuals with ASD, which includes Asperger's syndrome, ineligible for services in some parts of Ontario. Fortunately, in London I have not run into that with my son.
