Wonder of U behaved a lot like Another One Bites the Dust in this chapter, just more messed up. It's not hiding in the light of your eye, it's hiding in your body like a parasite. Both of them operate like a "curse" too. I have to wonder if Josuke really stopped it, or if Tsurugi even won the Rokakaka struggle. The flash forward made a point to say Tsurugi's emotional state changed and his stand ability changed as a result. An ability like Another One Bites the Dust that alters reality to help the user instead of turning back time (Norisuke is still dead but the house is fine) seems like the kind of stand Tsurugi would have after absorbing Tooru. Or vice versa.

The other Kira parallels have me curious too, the way Tooru died is pretty similar to both his final end, but a dead kid inconveniencing him is what caused him to develop Bites the Dust originally, who also wasn't dead anymore after a flash back/forward.

Then again he might just say "fuck it" and end things right here. Bad guy is kill, Joey Jojolion got his girl, story over. Time to get hyped up about Part 9 and be disappointed five years later.

Anybody have a hard time getting into any of the arcs after Stardust Crusaders? The animation change is jarring and the new characters are boring.

Part 5 was hard to get into in the first third, I won't lie. Once my brother and I pushed through it and reached The Grateful Dead, things picked up from there, we noticed. And then we were wondering exactly why it took us forever to get to that part.

I hear DiU gets better when the villain shows up, but right now I'm stuck at the part where this one simp bitch is keep that annoying twat kid locked in her house.

Yukako grew on me, personally (but I like it when the yandere/tsundere is played around with), but the show picks up when best boi Rohan gets introduced a few episodes later, then really picks up the moment the villain shows his face. At this point, I honestly think Part 4 is my favorite, it has a human feel to it given the sleepy town setting.

In every other respect, Part 5 is basically just Part 3 but better-written. Better main cast, WAY better villains, Diavolo/KK can at the very least rival Dio in meme potential. But Giorno is just a pretty poor replacement for Jotaro. With Jotaro, you can tell that under his overly-serious facade he does care about his family and his friends, and ultimately the whole reason he’s even on this mission is to save his mom’s life. Giorno is lacking that personal motivation - his goal is literally that he wants to be the fucking Pirate King. He also has little relation or chemistry with the rest of the cast, which isn’t that surprising considering they’re all strangers that he’s known for barely a week.

All we know is he's the actual son of DIO but through the Joestar bloodline since it was still Jonathan's body and it wasn't fully assimilated, but then it's never brought back into the plot. Maybe Araki was aware of his Gary Stu nature, but then didn't trust himself to play around with it.

I dunno, Giorno was definitely wasted potential.

I mean I don't really think that makes Giorno look less unique, if anything it makes him look better since he is the only one of DIO's kids that isn't a complete fuckup and made a name for himself without relying on DIO.

I say this as someone who considers him to be the worst Jojo.

probably just me being autistic but I hate when anime/manga/aything has several chapeters/episodes but the story is supposed to take place in the span of a few days, because in this case Giorno went from barely knowing what a stand is to having one of the most if not the most broken stand in the whole series all in the span of like a week

Riding the Giorno criticism train, I think his lack of real ANYTHING is what really makes him worst Jojo for me. Sure, he's got his dream and all of that, but throughout the story, it doesn't feel like he really has any interest or much stake in Bruno and the Gang besides helping him in his dream. And it's even worst with Diavolo as Giorno just wants him out of the way. Like...he doesn't build a real CONNECTION with anyone.

I mean he was morally the least bad of the Part 6 DIO kids but he still had issues with those tiny creatures that were fucking him over in addition to those self-confidence issues.

Not to double post but holy fuck the manga-only side of the fandom is annoying because they are boiling down into two sides that essentially act like they know where Jojolion is going whether it will end in a month (not likely) or keep going on for 20 or so chapters.

Can these people just go along with the ride and wait and see instead of treating their own theories as facts.
