Not only that, but they may need as many 5-star ratings as possible to keep the job. Some time ago, I was browsing about Shipt when they first became a presence in my area. There were all kinds of stories of people who would be referred for mandatory retraining if their rating ever dropped below 4.6 stars out of 5 and then permanently barred from accepting gigs if their rating didn't reach that milestone within so many days after that. Granted, one never knows what is or isn't true on the internet, but the idea that a minority of disgruntled customers could ruin a shopper's gig is still scary nonetheless. I also thoght it was a dick move by these companies to let shoppers go if their approval/satisfaction rating dropped below the equivalent of 92% if what was posted was accurate and even if I agreed these companies deserve to have reliable shoppers working for them. What I have learned from bits and pieces of reviews and conversations is the people who do these shopping gigs need higher 5 star ratings to get HIGHER priced trips = better tips. They can do 2-6 at a time depending upon the delivery window and make $100+ USD then go back and repeat. These people are serious. Secondly, there's no profit in an EBT/snap shop. So good on them.
It wouldn't surprise me if these companies have blacklisted Slingblade because the latter is the type of person who would downrate shoppers more out of spite than for any legitimate issues with the delivery.
