There is a story by Harlan Ellison called "Mom". It is about this nice jewish boy being haunted literally by the ghost of his mother. 'I saw you masturbating' says Mom's ghost reproachfully. It explores the relationship honestly, touches on shiksas and has a decent yiddish glossary at the end which might be informative to some kiwis.

She's a developmentally disabled woman who has seizures and a disabled child. JY thinks he has the moral high ground insisting she work a very physically demanding job as an aide to homeless people.

I hope this podcast finds its way to Devyn Cousineau. Ideally in a way that she can not deny having heard it.

Being on disability is really random. I know of dudes on it who hop in their car and drive two hours each way to what they want. Said dudes can clearly drive Uber, they just don't want to.
As far as being semi-tarded or having seizures, well as it is we offer semi-tards and full tards complete rights. But with that comes responsibility that they are largely absolved of. She had a kid whose outcome was pretty predictable given her own history, we say she has full right to that, yet we don't want to bestow on her the attendant responsibilities.

See this attitude they have is annoying. I'm not for open borders but if you have immigrants trying to work and trying to adapt and fit in, I can't see why people don't treat them with basic human decency. Dunno about you guys but normally when i'm somewhere and theres a worker who is trying to be helpful but there are some language barrier issues, they tend to be overly accomodating if you don't act like a dick to them. Its some of the better customer service experiences i've had. Maybe places with a larger immigrant population doesn't get this than my area, but shit, its not like these immigrants start an interaction with the Yanivs where they're like fuck this fat tranny jew bastard and fuck his barely understandable mom. They just want to do their fucking job.
