most prisons in western societies take care of prisoners health so that they can get a chance to prescribe zombifying psych meds. A ton of the prisoners do actually need them but some are just made stupid for convenience sake. It costs less to give preventative care than to lose a lawsuit for human rights abuses, too.
re: prisons. I actually think he will go, because there are multiple filmed incidents of his violence and he has been in trouble so much this year. I googled quickly and found that in women's prisons in canada, its more than 40% native even though like 5% of canadians are native. If its anything like alaska then the native women are fucking crazy and have been through a lot of tough shit. Yaniv is extremely out of shape and completely unlikable. His life is going to be awful for awhile. I have a hunch that he might do something worse than normal before the trial wraps up though. Lets hope I'm wrong about that.

Good news but fatty won’t see a prison. I’m gonna guess for a first time assault charge he’s gonna get a suspended sentence, fine and maybe some community service which he will pretend is a new day job he got.

B.C. has a huge drug problem so if he gets to prison with the methheads it should be entertaining. I don't know too much about the prison system here but I know there's normie prison and high security prisons. He'll probably be with the normies.
Pretrial behaviour and how a defendent behaves during the trial are key. If in the build up to it, you at least make an effort to look like you're not being a shit, and if you reign in your temper in the trial, then you stand a good chance if it's a first offence and not rape/murder/massive fraud of getting off with a suspended sentence or a community order
What will be interesting is if, in the build up to it, he manages to not go messages young teenagers about how he wants to stuff them full of tampons. If he does that and the recipient of such messages goes to RCMP over it, then there's a very real chance the Courts will lock him up. Same with the trial, if he behaves like a prick and is violent, shouty, whatever, he again fucks his chances up - the Court will see that poorly
