We do in criminal cases. 18 months in Provincial Court and 30 months in the superior courts (not including delays by the defence).
But civil trials are a whole different ball of wax. Right now trials are being scheduled for 2023 and 2025 if you need a civil jury. I’m involved in litigation that’s been ongoing for over a decade.
The World Bank has statistics on how long it takes to enforce a contract through the courts. Canada takes 910 days (Australia is like 350). We’re slower than Libya.

Hey thanks! Holy shit that’s even worse than I expected. I feel like he’s got some equally stupid amateur lawyer feeding him some of those lines, they sound like they were written by a flat earth type. The poor judge must be so irritated that she/he can’t just straight up laugh in his fat face.
And did not the RCMP at the courthouse take a look at Hamm's camera contents which she happily complied with since she had nothing to hide? Of course there was nothing there, and yet Jonnyboy is still trying to beat that long ago dead ghost-horse.

Yeah from what I can remember her phone was checked there and then whilst yaniv and his mother stood behind the officers squawking at Amy.
Seems lying comes naturally to yaniv, mother too for that matter. I don't think I've read anything truthful come out of that mouth of his...even when there's video evidence of him saying it he denies it. It's just a way of life for both of them. Pity they picked on the wrong person this time.

I think SASK stands for Sexual Assault something but not sure. He may have misspelled SASC, which in various places means Sexual Assault Support Centre or SA Services and Counselling.
Sadly these applications to waive court costs are usually granted in B.C. But $1200 in credit-card interest every month - holy crap. That’s about $24k in debt - how the hell did he even access that much credit in the first place?

I did Google before asking and got similar. "SASK" is somehow related to his "vicious sexual assault" hence my curiosity.

Yeah, he's gone from $700 per month (Dec 2019) to $1200 (August 2020) repayments - that's some debt.
