The problem is that "human rights" is now a buzzword used by a variety of unsavory groups ranging from Western fronts for coups and violence in places like Syria or Africa to shit like these "Human Rights" Tribunals or the "Human Rights" Campaign and their equal sign logo. All of these groups with support for oppressive policies (be it supporting repressive regimes/wannabe regimes to spread Western influence or impose monetary penalties for questioning troons) to some degree rely on being able to say "why would you oppose something as basic as human rights?" to their critics. It's basically like what "freedom" was a few decades ago, and coincidentally, the spread of "freedom" used to justify supporting human-rights abusing dictators or invading Iraq. Nowadays people are more wary of organizations with "freedom" in their name or people going on endlessly about freedom. Hopefully one day they'll do the same about "human rights".
