I think she straight-up didn't know. Unlike those of us who spend our days mucking about in the drek of the internet, she probably hasn't been exposed to extreme tranny degeneracy before, and fairly reasonably just assumed good faith on the part of Yaniv and handled that phone interview accordingly. It was only after the interview that people started spamming her with all the research people have done on this guy, that she realized she was dealing with an actual sexual predator instead of some well-intentioned but perhaps misguided True and Honest Transwoman.
Nah it would never be the TERFs unless it was a very clear-cut self-defense situation. Despite all the tranny screeching about LITERAL VIOLENCE, the TERFs are a notoriously nonviolent group. Someone needs to call in and point out that this isn’t about trans rights. Many of us don’t actually care how you choose to identify, I care about a history of predatory behaviour towards children and women and a very blantant history of trying to force themselves into women’s spaces as a fetish. Getting into these women’s houses or having them to come JYs house remains a power move on their part and lord knows what JY would do if things escalated while they were alone together!

The cynical side of me feels like if not for the targeting of immigrants and anti-immigrant statements this story would not be getting the main stream attention it has. It's interesting seeing how the diversity/oppression Olympics is playing out as far as what (x) status you have protects you from accusations of being (y)phobic/(y)ist.
