I was talking about it yesterday with my friend. We were bouncing around theories as to what's up with the RCMP. Besides the most likely answer of they are doing nothing we also talked about if they are still gathering more evidence. It looks like with all these girls he's talked to or approached he's always messaged them through Facebook, so my current best guess is they are doing nothing. However, if they are doing anything I feel most likely that they are issuing a warrant to Facebook for all his information. However, let's not forget that more than likely the RCMP ain't doing shit.

They might be looking into things, but unless they uncovered some nudes or outright invitations for sex, I doubt they’re going to do anything.

(Also because they’d be very careful with getting anywhere near the politicized shitshow that swirls around Yaniv.)

We got Yaniv talking about tampons with a 16 year old. Is that inappropriate? Hell yeah. Would it constitute grooming? That’s a tougher case to make.

Especially if Yaniv says: “Oh, that wasn’t sexual, I was just an insecure trans woman! Oh dear, I’d never have sex with her, I’m a woman you see, and I’m not lesbian!”

And then whomever is in charge would think of the Morrison case that the Supreme Court smacked down (An online grooming case that the Canadian Supreme Court overturned) do a biig stress sigh, and decide that this isn’t worth the headache it might bring.

Now considering that the Canadian Supreme Court overturned a child grooming case just a few months ago based on the presumption of innocence, do you really think there’s a prosecutor in Canada who wants to go trial without something more solid than that?

Depends. I think the stuff already out there would be sufficient to at least open an investigation under normal circumstances, and at least try to gather some more info and see if there’s enough evidence for a prosecution.

However, this is hardly normal circumstances. Yaniv’s status as a protected class offers him some protection.

And while he’s hardly a prominent civil rights figure, there’s enough of a circus surrounding him to encourage a prosecutor and the RCMP to go find another perv to prosecute who isn’t as likely to be a headache.

So... Chance of the RCMP gathering info: Pretty good. Chance of it leading anywhere: Below 50%?

I think we're both agreeing that the evidence we as the public know about still probably isn't strong enough to arrest him. I still think that he's likely done shit that should result in him behind bars. IMO the RCMP has enough to get warrants for his communications but it's more of a matter of if the RCMP has the resources or prioritizes his case enough to do anything.

Edit:sorry I missed the second part. It's very true that his wearing a dress makes it a harder case BUT also how public he's being about being a pedophile is also a huge mark against him. There are a lot of people screaming for his head and public pressure to do something could force the RCMP's hands a little bit.

Based on some second hand knowledge of how the RCMP operates, if they are looking into it then they more likely than not would wait a while before they demand any warrants just due to how high profile Yaniv’s case already is.

At most, I am sure that Yaniv is on their radar just due to how much is public knowledge.

Facebook alone is going to be *a key piece of evidence to Yaniv getting caught up. The fat fuck seems to forget that facebook logs EVERYTHING you do since your account was creates. A lot forgot they released a feature within the last few years that allows you to download your ENTIRE facebook history including individual chats with deleted/banned accounts. He can't delete or remove those either so all it will take it these girls getting the file containing their convo history with him, and getting a warrant to compare it to Yanivs.

If I were a prosecutor, and I got access to all of Yaniv's other communications and messages to underage girls, I'm pretty sure I'd be able to argue that this is a clear pattern of behaviour so no it's not just a joke. Whether it would stick, though, is another matter.

It's a pattern of behavior that he's a creepy weirdo online but I don't think anything that's been archived in any of our Yaniv threads is enough to show a crime was committed for them to get a warrant to do that.

Just as an example, I used to work with someone who was caught and convicted of grooming underage girls online and he was caught because he was filmed actually meeting up with a girl that he had been messaging which gave law enforcement the ability to get a warrant and go through all of his messages etc. IIRC it was someone on Facebook who ran a to catch a predator type page and had been made aware that this person was doing this stuff online who filmed him and gave the information to law enforcement. I know there was a Youtuber who was caught requesting and receiving videos of underage girls in their underwear and nude photos last year or early this year (can't remember the name) but again I don't think we have anything archived to show that Yaniv was sent anything like that from the girls he was messaging.

I'm not defending Yaniv but I'm looking at it the way law enforcement would. I'm sure he is a person of interest though.
