There are many instances of Yaniv using the law as a shield for their behavior. In Canada, he's currently embroiled in a battle against no fewer than 16 female-only beauticians for refusing to wax his balls. In the US, he has employed the DMCA falsely and incorrectly to try and dismantle services that host information he doesn't like -- for instance, this one.
On December 26th, 2018, he filed a DMCA complaint through Cloudflare about this site, as follows.
This had nothing to do with removing infringed works and everything to do with scrubbing his SEO, as Yaniv professes himself an SEO optimizer and search result scrubber as part of his TrustedNerd and JY Knows It companies. Many of these images weren't even his original work, and were instead pictures of him heavily edited.
The same day, as a consequence and entirely because of that original complaint, I intended to do a stream about Jonathan Yaniv. For this stream, I used a photo of him fairly as a part of my thumbnail as I do with everyone I talk about. This was before the stream had began and was displayed only to people who'd have an interest in watching my content. The result was YouTube copyright striking my channel and prohibiting me from streaming for 3 months, which is pretty nasty to a channel about livestreamed content.
Regardless, I did my stream on a different site and uploaded it to Bitchute, which is a resilient video website. He took steps further by complaining to my datacenter (which was responsible for absolutely nothing except housing my hardware).
I explained to the datacenter that the KF doesn't actually host with them and that resolved their concerns for a while. JY paid a LegalZoom lawyer to file another bullshit C&D directly to them.
This ultimately led to ColoCrossing choosing to discontinue service later that year and forcing me to physically mail my hardware to another location, at orders of parent company Deluxe, which I assume received complaints from JY -- anonymously, of course.
Despite his efforts, these sites are still up.
