It doesn't seem like Sprit Science has gotten any loonier over the years, however in this video ad for a retreat center in Costa Rica he says that he evolved into a higher place of leadership in his business thanks to it. And that Ayahuasca cured someone's cancer. He makes sure to put the cancer testimony about 50 minutes in after going on about how magical Ayahuasca is and shilling non stop for the slightly culturally insensitive retreat.

On the Retreat center: I mean call me cynical but it doesn't get any more cliché for a new age grifter than having partnered with Deepak Chopra.

Taking any hallucinogen regularly is bound to fry the user's brains. I had a buddy in college who was brilliant but totally pissed away his potential when he started doing acid, shrooms, and mescaline regularly. I'm not sure if he's ever done DMT or ayahuasca but I'd be shocked if he hasn't. One time I did a brownie with him and the fucker put acid in it without telling me. That was not a pleasant experience other than when I could hear Paint it Black in the dorm room next to mine and the sitar solo came on. One sememster I had a serious bout with depression and his advice was "take more drugs, just not the pharmaceutical shit", which was pretty much his go to advice for everything. Eventually he ended up dropping out of college and now he just begpacks in Latin America and Asia, with his doctor and lawyer parents enabling it.

Take an egomaniac like Duchnycz and give him drugs regularly and you have a recipe for disaster. Duchnycz has always been a patholigical bullshitter, but he's always been susceptiple to falling for other people's bullshit and integrating it into his own. Now that he constantly does ayahuasca every day he probably believes his own lies.

Jordan reminds me a of a guy I knew in high school. The same type that was all about conspiracies and aliens and crap. He'd always go on about how he and his friend were slowly working out the world actually worked, were planning on how to make it a better place and by the time they were 30 they'd be running the country because they "knew" more than anybody. Whereas in reality it was like that scene in "Revenge of the Nerds II" when they're all lying on the beach getting high. One says something deep and they're all blown away by it. Then Ogre, the Alpha Beta that got stuck with them says, "have you ever wondered what would happen if 'dog' was spelled 'C-A-T'?". They pause and then again act like it's the deepest thing they've ever heard.

That's what weed can do to you. It makes everything sound deep.

I've always wondered how legitimate his claims of taking acid and ayahuasca before he sleeps are. I've done acid a handful of times and if I didn't take it before 10 AM I'd not sleep all night. I've never taken Ayahuasca, but I assume the principle is the same
On the other hand, if you do a lot of acid I could see you getting used to it and maybe being able to sleep.
